ecological consequences. Lions also boost tourism and economies by attracting photographic tourists and trophy
hunters. Despite this, lion populations have plummeted, with only 20,000 to 25,000 remaining in the wild.

another near Touwsriver in the Succulent Karoo (discovered in 2003). In 2018, a third population was also found
